If even a few are able to stop and consider things and then present a fair point I'm all for listening. But don't belittle the attempt because it doesn't seem right now to be exactly what you think it should. Help work towards it.SilverPenScribehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13882148938946723792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6880630457315450498.post-470545767532854512012-06-13T02:28:15.794-05:002012-06-13T02:28:15.794-05:00Sadly no matter what we say the trolls will persis...Sadly no matter what we say the trolls will persist having already decided the game is complete and will never change and so on. They then dress themselves up as providing constructive criticism in order to improve the system (by trying to make it the same as their beloved system) and shout that anyone who calls them on this behavior is stifling the conversation or trying to stop feedback.ObsidianCranehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09230293533152044740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6880630457315450498.post-47328670492974170572012-06-12T18:49:15.703-05:002012-06-12T18:49:15.703-05:00Well said, and yes I do agree!Well said, and yes I do agree!SilverPenScribehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13882148938946723792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6880630457315450498.post-58290617889989822362012-06-12T18:46:50.372-05:002012-06-12T18:46:50.372-05:00There is a difference in constructive feedback thr...There is a difference in constructive feedback through the proper channels and the "ZOMFG THIS SUCKS I HATE IT ITS WORTHLESS" that I see plastered all over social media.

I think I can speak for both the author and myself when I say that we LOVE discussing honest, constructive feedback with anyone, regardless of their stance on the issue. Discussion leads to understanding.

However, I don't think "THIS GAME SUCKS WILL NOT PLAY 2/10" style posts on a playtest are constructive at all. The game isn't finished, and so many Twitter trolls are judging it as though it is. That's bull, and that's what the author is railing against.M..https://www.blogger.com/profile/01062766781413736418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6880630457315450498.post-26883479360560672322012-06-12T18:41:38.099-05:002012-06-12T18:41:38.099-05:00And while that in itself is perfectly fine, the pr...And while that in itself is perfectly fine, the problem lies with those who try to cast everything in a negative light and will hear zero discussion against their view. Yes this is a test as I stated, but incessant negative feedback is little more than an attempt to derail the process. Constructive criticism is one thing, but to actively attack every part of the test isn't helping to fix anything. It is only destructive.SilverPenScribehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13882148938946723792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6880630457315450498.post-36853561112066068762012-06-12T18:33:52.595-05:002012-06-12T18:33:52.595-05:00Literally the purpose of a playtest is to test it....Literally the purpose of a playtest is to test it. To TEST it. To find the negatives and push them into the light, to find anything and everything that needs to be fixed. The real trolls are the ones getting mad at those who are, again, very literally fulfilling the playtest's purpose.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6880630457315450498.post-24561317655573775382012-06-12T17:26:39.644-05:002012-06-12T17:26:39.644-05:00Precisely! The former are productive participants, the latter are poisoning the entire discussion.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07246138060771038201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6880630457315450498.post-79358808524724268902012-06-12T17:18:23.749-05:002012-06-12T17:18:23.749-05:00Thanks!Thanks!SilverPenScribehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13882148938946723792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6880630457315450498.post-12096498849185123702012-06-12T17:13:54.698-05:002012-06-12T17:13:54.698-05:00Amen to that!Amen to that!greywulfhttp://greywulf.netnoreply@blogger.com
